RSI
A momentum oscillator comparing recent upward and downward closes.
What to notice
RSI is commonly displayed from 0 to 100. It can show momentum cooling or strengthening; high or low values alone are not reversal signals.
The context that matters
In a strong trend, RSI can remain elevated or depressed. Compare its direction with price swings.
Common mistake
Automatically paper-selling because RSI crossed 70 or paper-buying because it crossed 30.
Try it on a chart
Find a time RSI stayed high while price kept advancing, then note what finally changed.
